Signals of brain activities provides tremendous amount of information to evaluate linguistic hypotheses. I am particularly interested in the extend to which the structure of linguistic events, such as morphemes, words, and utterances, influence activities of EEG/MEG signals, and can these studies provides a road map for understanding language acquisition. Several topics would be addressed in this talk, including 1) N400 and vocabulary development; 2) submorphemic units and early ERP components; 3) morphology of words; and 4) neural entrainments and Detrended Fluctuation Analysis.
