  • Date: 2022.11.16(Wed) 14:30
  • Venue: N100, North Hall, Department of Psychology
  • Speaker: Prof. Eva E Chen (College of Education, National Tsing Hua University)
  • Topic: The Development of Social Cognition: How do Kids Think About the World?

How do kids think about the world in which they live? At a young age, children must gather information from those they trust in addition to their own limited observations to make decisions. Children are selective, however, in whom they trust, attending to the characteristics of the informants they meet. This talk will provide a brief overview of the development of social cognition as well as the speaker’s own research across different cultures, offering insights into how we learn.
